Abstract
NASA's Kepler mission is leading us into a golden age for asteroseismology. I will review some of the results that have been found so far for red giant stars. These include the detection of gravity-dominated mixed modes, whose period spacings are sensitive probes to the stellar core; the measurement of internal differential rotation from mode splittings; and measurements of mass loss on the RGB.
