Topic: Formation and Evolution of Cool Stars and Brown Dwarfs

Abstract
Protoplanetary disks provide the building blocks and the physical and chemical conditions for planet formation. Their properties and evolution have a fundamental impact on the architecture of the emerging planetary systems. I will review the disk properties around very low mass stars and brown dwarfs and compare these disks to disks around sun-like and intermediate-mass stars.
