Abstract
We present a new estimate of the temperature and metallicity of the CM Draconis components. CM Dra is eclipsing binary system consisted of two nearly identical M dwarfs. Our analysis is based on 29 echelle spectra from the archive of the 4.2-m William Herschel Telescope. The spectra were obtained at high-resolution spectrograph (UES) in different phases. We calculated synthetic spectra of CM~Dra components and make synthetic spectra of the system for each of the observed phases. Effective temperature $T_{\rm eff}=3195\pm90$~K and metallicity [M/H]=-0.4$\pm$0.17 were determined for both components of CM Dra. In our work we used fits of synthetic spectra to the observed spectra across the spectral regions of absorption lines NaI~8185~\AA, NaI~8197~\AA\, RbI~7818~\AA\ and FeI~8077~\AA.
